Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale is turning a local brewery collaboration into a meaningful way for the community to support tornado recovery efforts across the Fox Valley.
In the weeks following the July 27 tornado, communities throughout the Fox Valley have come together to support recovery efforts. As rebuilding continues, local businesses and organizations are finding new ways to give back.
To help meet that need, eight Fox Valley breweries joined forces to create Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale, a limited-release beer with a purpose. Every pint sold will help generate funding for local tornado relief efforts, giving community members an opportunity to support recovery efforts close to home while enjoying a beer created through a unique local collaboration.
The project brings together breweries from across the Fox Valley, showing off the creativity of local craft beer breweries and the community support that’s helped the Fox Cities come together since the storm.
A Collaboration Built on Community
In the aftermath of the storm, many businesses across the Fox Valley looked for ways to support ongoing recovery efforts. For eight local breweries, their support took the form of a collaborative beer designed to raise funds for those affected by the storm.
Breweries from across the Fox Valley came together, sharing ideas and resources to create Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale.
The collaboration includes:
- Vault 202 Brewery
- Hop Yard Ale Works
- McFleshman’s Brewing Co.
- Stone Arch Brewpub
- Appleton Beer Factory
- Fox River Brewing Company
- Lion’s Tail Brewing Company
- Timber Tap Taproom and Brewery
Together, these breweries are using their shared passion for craft beer to support neighbors and communities still recovering from the storm.
Support From Across the Brewing Industry
The collaboration extends beyond just the breweries.
Several suppliers and industry partners stepped forward to donate ingredients and services needed to bring the project to life. Valley Brewers Supply, along with Briess Malt, Prairie Malt, Wisconsin Hop Exchange, Crosby Hops, and Lallemand Yeast, all contributed to the effort.
By donating key ingredients, these organizations helped reduce production costs and increase the overall impact of the fundraiser allowing more of the proceeds to go directly toward local relief efforts.
Those contributions help ensure that every pint sold has an even greater impact on the community.
Giving Back Close to Home
One of the most meaningful aspects of Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale is that the funds raised will stay local.
Recovery efforts continue across the Fox Valley, and many families and businesses are still working through the challenges that follow a natural disaster. The funds generated through beer sales will directly go to United Way Fox Cities Tornado Relief Community Response Fund, helping provide continued support to those affected by the storm.
Together, these contributions help turn a simple beer collaboration into a meaningful way to give back.
